If its Indie Rock n’ Roll you into and you have somehow never heard The Black Keys, well… you most likely live under a rock. Regardless, if you into the alternative indie music scene, this is a band worth checking out. The Black Keys have been receiving a lot of attention over the last two years, producing two solid albums, Brothers and El Camino. El Camino, their current album includes two of their biggest hits, Lonely Boy and Gold On The Ceiling, which can be heard on most rock radio stations right now.

At first glance, The Black Keys look really quite strange. The two man band is made up of Dan Auerbach, lead guitarist and vocals, and the awkward, lanky drummer, Patrick Carney. Both members don’t talk much and other than the usual “Hi I’m Dan and we’re The Black Keys” you won’t hear much more out of them.

Once the band gets going though, they are a real spectacle to see. With Carney’s unorthodox drumming and Auerbach’s soulful voice and riffs, it can be hard to stop watching.

Other tracks definitely worth listening to are Dead and Gone, Nova Baby and Little Black Submarines. If you like what you hear listen to their older stuff off the album Brothers with such tracks like Tighten Up, Howlin’ For You and for a more relaxed tune These Days.

Nothing seems to break Carney’s spirit who in blatant honesty told Rolling Stone “I suck at the drums, so it's terrifying... Just trying to keep it together. I see a lot of comments on Twitter and stuff about how ugly I am, how bad I am at the drums, how awkward I look, and I'm like, yeah, I agree with most of those things.”

The unsuspected college drop outs from Akron, Ohio have gone from performing in front of 8 people to selling out Madison Square Garden within 15 minutes of opening ticket sales. Winning awards from Grammy’s to MTV Awards, the band has planned an international tour and hopes to have another album out by next year.

With critics left raving, The Black Keys are definitely a band to keep your eyes on.
