Update:
Following his refusal to join the national team for World Cup Qualifiers,
Moeneeb Josephs has stated that he has retired from the national team to allow
him to spend more time with his family.
While
other Bafana Bafana players are at camp for the World Cup Qualifier's,
Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Moeneeb Josephs was seen on Tuesday with his
Pirates teammates parading the streets of Johannesburg in celebration
of their recent league championship.
According
to reports, Josephs has chosen to not honour his Bafana Bafana call up
indefinitely citing personal reasons. Josephs is expected to make a
statement later this week stating his reasons for not joining the
National team.
Josephs
has played for the South African National Football team, Bafana Bafana,
19 times, Including appearances in the 2010 World Cup. Where he has
largely been second choice to Kaiser Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.
