Wina Manje fever in S.A and England
one of the funniest and most interesting thing to do when the new Football season comes along is to predict and monitor the sides who will go unbeaten for the longest. Last season in the EPL it was Manchester United and this season it promises to be just as juicy. With all teams having to play 38 Matches in the EPL and 30 in the local PSL, it becomes a hard task for anyside to remain unbeaten but its fun to see how far your favourite team is doing.Coming into this weekends second round of matches there were 4 teams who had maximum points (won their last game) in the Epl and 5 in the PSL. After this round there are 2 (possible 3 after tonights Man Utd V Tottenham Game) Man City and Wolverhampton. There should really be no surprise of Man citys position as that is whats needed of a team who has ambitions of League Glory but Wolves have excelled themselves these past 2 weeks. Not only did wolves destroy Blackburn away from home in their opening fixture but they followed that up with a convincing victory over Fulham, a team who had only a few seasons ago been participating in the UEFA Cup final. That shows strength from Mick McCarthy's men. They now face Aston Villa away next week and a Tricky vist from Tottenham to follow the week after, should they navigate both those with victory they will be lauded as the surprise team of the 2011/2012 season and will be labelled dark horses.
As for the PSL, it's hard to look passed the perrenial favourites of Chiefs and Pirates but they are joined by Bloem Celtics in that exclusive group of winning all their matches thus far. All though it's way to early to predict that Celtics will lift the PSL title come the end of the season, it looks a safe bet to expect them to improve on last seasons 5th place finish.
so there we are if your a neutral and don't know who to support why not take a chance on Celtic locally and Wolves overseas, after all sports fans love a good fairy tale and these teams represent what dream are made of.
what do you think? who do you support? who will take the crown come May?
